We no longer see Sisi riding across our grounds today. The Empress once enjoyed her rides from Schloss Hetzendorf through the blooming fields of our ancestors. Even back then, they worked as “K&K court gardeners” on the family estate, which is over 200 years old and located just behind the famous palace in Vienna. Working with flowers and plants is where our roots lie—the appreciation for beauty is a long-standing family tradition, deeply embedded in who we are.

Since 1997, the warehouses, workshops, and greenhouses of blumenkultur have been located on approximately 3,500 m² within the former nursery. The idea to establish a company specializing in event decorations arose after our first major event together at the Wiener Börse—early in the morning at 5 a.m. Since then, we have been working as a team, continuing our long-standing tradition with innovation, creativity, and a contemporary spirit. 

We source the flowers and materials for our creations primarily from local nurseries. However, not everything can be grown in Austria. For supplies from Germany, Italy, Ecuador, or the Netherlands, we prioritize short, environmentally friendly transport routes and a low CO₂ footprint. Waste is carefully separated, and vessels and vases are stored and reused.  

In our in-house greenhouses, we focus on environmentally conscious fertilization and rely as much as possible on biological pest control. Our decorative pots stored in our warehouses are 100% recyclable and reusable.

Since our beginnings over 20 years ago, our list of clients and events has grown steadily and now reads like a “who’s who” of the business and event scene. Many of our long-standing clients have been with us from the very start, and we have accompanied them across Europe—from Madrid to Rotterdam, from Paris to Munich.
